Tyres for 3.0RB

Haven't had a problem with mine. Were shiteloads better than the Nangkangs that I threw away as far as ride. If the potenza's are better they'd be almost super soft (could explain Shano's 050's wearing unevenly at 32psi).

And if it was just a decision between the Nangkangs and Yokohama's, for the extra $200 a corner I'd be going the Yoko's every time. How old is your "brand new" spare? What would you be using as a spare were you to buy 3 to match your current spare?

225/40/18 Kuhmo KU31 were $160ea at Tempe last time I bought a set for my WRX. Brilliant tyre and BFYB. This is the size you should be fitting NOT 45 series if you want to keep your rolling diameter correct.

225/45 is closer than 225/40 to the 215/45 OEM size

Its finally time to get replacement tyres. Problem I have discovered as because the car is leased through SG Fleet, they will only approve OEM spec tyres - meaning Bridgestone 050A's I think. Have been quoted $449ea from Bridgestone Centre in Artarmon. Is this about the going rate atm?

yeah, they're pretty expensive. By "OEM spec" do they mean you can only buy the 050a's or just that you are limited to the obscure OEM size (at least in 18")?
