Hey all,

As the weather for colder I noticed my engine started to sound a bit higher pitched. When I took it in for my last service about a months ago they replaced the alternator.

This morning I've noticed the whine again. Could be that I had the radio off for the first time since the service or something but figured I'd chuck it up here and see what you all think.

Most likely powersteering pump.
Common failure.

Are you sure youre not hearing the timing chain?

I have a second hand power steering pump if you need one cheap. (From a 2.5T).

Or someone secretly installed a supercharger without your knowledge.

I thought it might have been the chain but the fact it's come and gone made me think otherwise.

Unfortunately, I couldn't see a surprise supercharger but If anyone would like to, dm me and I'll give you my address...and maybe a wristie if there's time after the install.
