Hello everyone! Just joined the forums and in search of a 3.0r or spec b wagon to purchase. I'm in SA and my budget isn't absolutely huge. Looking at spending $10k at the MOST. I've come across one in particular I quite like which is a 2004/MY05 3.0r-b wagon (link below after my ramblings) as it looks quite tidy, has service history, and it has an aftermarket exhaust system which the seller says sounds nice and isn't too loud. Unsure if it's been treated to a nice tune yet but I'll be inspecting the car hopefully in the next couple days. Thing I'm concerned about is the high kms (which is about average for the age of the vehicle). Not having ever bought a car with over 200,000kms before, I just wanted to check with you friendly folk what I should be looking for mechanically at this stage in the cars (hopefully long) life. If im happy with the car and purchase it I'll be looking to hopefully keep it for up to 4 years. It'll be my daily to and from work and driven only some weekends as we have a SUV for our little family we use most of the time. On average I probably drive 8k-12,000kms a year. Any hints and tips you guys have to help me out with what I should be looking for/asking the seller, would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Go onto the club.liberty.asn.au facebook page and ask if there is anyone in SA that can help you inspect the car.
