3.6R 5EAT Possible Transmission issues

So, this is sort of off topic for the Lib forum because it's on my Tribeca, but I figured it's pretty much the same drive train and there is no real forum for the Tribeca
The issue that I have is that it feels like the torque converter never really gets to lock up. Some of the time it feels like it's just sapping power and not really going. I have to stomp on the gas a bit and get it kick down 2 gears to get it to get up a hill sometimes.
In fact the other day I was trying to reverse out of my somewhat steep driveway and it couldn't get up the hill. The engine just moaned at me so to say. No high revs, it just wouldn't go. Had to turn the car around and go up forwards.

I had it at the Subaru dealers a few months ago and they gave me the usual "It runs perfectly" story. They did a full flush, service and reset and checked the PAC file was up to date. While this sorted out a hard shift from 2nd to 3rd it did not sort the issue with the power drain.

Any ideas? Possible issues with torque converter maybe?

How long have you had the car and when did you notice the problem start?

If the car has always been that way, I would suggest getting a kidotuning tune.

As that can get you more line pressure and have the transmission lock up better.
Plus the extra torque from the tune would help.

Well worth the money.

Had the car for about 2 years now. It's always been a bit funny. Matt has already tuned it.

I would look at getting a second opinion from another dealer.

Did you find it was better after the tune at all?

Is the fuel good?
IAM at 1?

The tune helped with some power. The motor is running nicely. IAM sits at 1. Just feels like there is resistance in the drivetrain. But the brakes are not getting hot. Some days it's absolutely fine. It's a bloody thirsty beast though. But that's expected of a 2.3 ton SUV full of stuff. I think I'll send Matt some logs and see if he can pick up on anything.
