3.0R Remanufactured Engines by CorgiWerx

Postby BillyCorgi » Fri Jul 29, 2016 9:07 am

CorgiWerx has got its hands on a 3.0R Engine complete and is examining the feasibility of supplying remanufactured 3.0R engines on an Exchange basis.
The engines would be utilising new genuine Subaru components sourced from PartSouq.

Pricing is yet to be announced, however is expected to be competitively priced against many second hand used engines sold on ebay.

We are looking for expressions of interest from potential customers.

Would consider it if the wagon's EZ30 suddenly fell to bits. I believe you're quite the calibre of person to perform the task competently but my concerns would be with warranty though, especially being interstate (Not that 2nd hand parts ever come with any sort of warranty anyway)

Understand issue with distance and concerns regarding warranty, however realistically warranty could only be considered over items of workmanship. Items with pre-existing service history would not be covered.
A rebuild would cover new parts like
Pistons & Rings
Main Bearings and Big End Bearings
Oil Pump Parts
Water Pump Parts
Timing Chain and Tensioner Systems
Gasket Sets

Reused items, such as oil control valves and Cam Shaft advancing mechanisms would not be covered.
These items have a random service life on an existing engine and much as they do on an exchange unit.

Good idea

It would be about 90% head gasket issue engines which are perfectly fine after some professional attention - seems like a plan
