Hi there all.

Newbie to the community. I have just purchased a Liberty 3.0R Premium, and live in southern Sydney. It has 53k on the clock (50k service completed), and I am looking for a quality service center to maintain the vehicle.

I don't intend to make modifications to the vehicle, but look to have it for many years. I will probably change the oil myself in 5k intervals.

Any advice on where to get her serviced, and the best oil she can have, would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Re: engine oil, I've been doing my own changes at 5k intervals with Shell Helix Ultra 5W-30 (fully synthetic). The engine's very quiet and smooth with this oil and revs much more freely.

I don't think the 5k interval is necessary really. Overkill I'd say. Stick with the Subaru recommended 12k intervals with a quality oil like this.

Cheers,
Deucer.

Aint that the truth! When I bought my 1998 WRX in 2003 I was extremely happy with the handling and performance (140kw@w). By th e time I sold it in June this year, I had racked up a further $20,000 in mods. It was a weapon when Id finished with it.

But we all grow up and move on
