3.0L Radiator Upgrade

Postby JaffaSIX » Wed Sep 02, 2015 9:55 am

Hey Guys,

I've recently seen a few heat stress marks on the top of my top tank and was thinking it might be time to change my radiator. I wasn't sure if I should just go for a factory fit radiator or if there were any good aftermarket
options on the market which could be an option?

Has anyone been down this road yet? and advice?

Mishimoto may do one for the EJ30 if you have a manual transmission. For an auto, the stock radiator has the transmission cooler built into it - I'm yet to determine if you can simply run a replacement auto cooler and then the mishimoto radiator designed for a manual car...

Sorry yes, that is correct. EJ30 is a misnomer (there were a small number of EJ30 engines built as I understand it, but they didn't get into production vehicles).

Bummer that Mishimoto don't do one for the EZ30...

So there is no upgraded radiator that I can fit to my Liberty?
Would I be better off sticking to a genuine one over a cheap aftermarket one? heard the cheap ones have cheap top tanks which leak within a year
