New Exhaust - 3.0R-B Spec

I just had my mate fit some custom rear mufflers and quad tips to mt 3.0R-B Spec and oh my god how sexy do these things sound????!!!!

The custom set up does away with the stock rear mufflers but maintains the dual 2" pipe size, flowing through two 2.5" straight through fibreglass packed mufflers and exiting via dual twin tips purchased from Supercheap (of all places!).

I will post some pics when I get some. Im sooooo happy with it. Its not too loud or intrusive, just perfect. Apparently it will get a little louder as it beds in but not too much. And, it clearly flows better if the "seat of the pants dyno" is anything to go by!

If anyone wants to liven their 3.0 H6 but doesnt want to fork out the big bikkies that Hitech, Genome, and STi are asking...then this is the way to go!

Heres a link to a sound clip and some pics. You will need to turn your volume up to get a good idea of what it sounds like.

Sound Off

Hey Guys,

What about a Sound Off :?:

We get all the Quad tips together and check out the sound. If anyone has recording equipment with some better fidelity than a mobile phone, that would also be good.

Then we can post the results and let our public choose the best in each category of:

Sound,
Looks,
Specs (mild steel vs stainless, etc),
Bang for Buck,

Anyone up for it?

3.0R, GT, 2.5 or 2.0R, doesn't matter to me.

This would give me a sense of "value" to the mufflers mod and identify for other interested members the options available.
