Kms to empty

Postby Gadgit7 » Fri Aug 07, 2015 7:25 am

hi folks,

My new Liberty my08 spec b has the kms to empty display but it is just sitting on 350kms and doesn't change. Any ideas what may cause this?
Cheers

Is the fuel gauge itself moving? If not, it could be the tank sender

It could be your driving style. How long has it stayed the same? For example if you were driving hard for a while then started toning it down, you'll find the distance to empty will remain the same for a while!

Well here's an update. Filled it to the brim yesterday after finally getting rego swapped from qld to nsw :D
The kms to empty now says 420km so it has changed. Now I have to see if it's right.

Is the calculated litres-per-100K's display changing at all? Not the live display, but the one that is based on your tripmeter?
I was going to procrastinate, but I put it off...
