Yep, got that. I was assuming the holes in your pistons would be the same as Richards.

Compared to Richard's, how bad was your oil consumption J? Did it score the cylinder wall?

I would be interested to see pics of his pistons but hopefully he won't need to disassemble the engine again!

1L per week.....wall scored very slightly, barely noticeable marks

Unacceptable that the heads were not checked while apart!

Oil control rings incorrectly installed will do this too.....ask me how I know...

2 potential issues, I would say oil controls if motor didn't do this before.

THIS

when my car was built the first engine used heaps of oil it would have been a 20k build engine... block got binned...

Right the engine builder says they changed the valve stem oil seals but I have no documentary proof and I don't trust their word as far as I can spit. Need to find a time to remove the exhaust manifolds after the car has been standing for a day and inspect the valves to see if we have any oil on the stems etc.

So here is the evidence of why my engine is using 1 part oil to every 10 parts of fuel.

I finally had time to drop the drivers side exhaust manifold and have a peak. these photos are off to the engine builder and we will see were we go from there. The images are of the exhaust valves of no.1 cylinder.
