Hey I have the cruise control light flashing on my 05 3.0r spec b.
The mechanic checked and said there was corruption in the ECU and cleared the codes.
I now have the light flashing again.
The check engine light has not come at all during this time.
Is there anyone in the Orange or Bathurst that can read the codes for me before i take the car back to the mechanic

Gday, just looking into buying a my06 h6 outback. Specific one i'm looking at is up for an injector service according to subaru. I picked my mechanics brain about this. He mentioned a tell tail sign of faulty injectors was when in cruise, if they misfire, it's enough to bugger up the cruise and spit a code.... worth asking about. I'm by no means a professional or a know it all so don't take this as solution, just a possible cause to investigate

I've had a flashing cruise control light when I blew the fuse for the electric seats. Yes, SEATS. As a result, cruise control went offline as well.

Check that you haven't got any blown fuses in the cabin fuse box. When I replaced my blown fuse, the cruise control light stopped flashing and cruise functionality returned as well.

As for reading the codes, get yourself a cheap ODB-II reader and use an app like Torque Pro on an Android device (or appropriate app on a laptop) to read the codes.

I have checked all my fuses and they are ok.
the car goes back to the mechanic next week to have reverse switch installed as well and he will read the codes again then and advise on error/s .

all the fuses are ok
the computer doesn't show any error codes and the cruise control light still flashes.

I have had the Subaru dealer use their computer on the car and still don't get any error codes at all.

Issue fixed after having Matt Tune the car and find speed mismatch code.
changed after market hub for a genuine subaru hub and now all working ok.
