Hello all,

I want to upgrade to a better radiator for my 3.0R. I have already purchased an auto trans cooler kit from Subaru.

From what I can see, Mishimoto only appear to do rads for the 2.5T, not the H6's. Garage88 don't seem to list a Koyorad for an H6 (though I assume they would be able to order one in).

My question is -- would it be possible to use a Subaru transmission oil cooler kit on a Koyorad (or other aftermarket rad)?

Assume so, the cooler bolts onto brackets that then bolt to the radiator support.

FWIW, I got an aftermarket 08+ WRX alloy radiator and had a local guy add an extra upper inlet/outlet (centre) and reduce the size of the stock upper one (left). Lower is the same.
Just make sure its got a cap as some don't.

Are you running just the external cooler Shiv?

Yeah that's the one. Factory Subaru item. I believe its the exact same part # whether its H6 or turbo.
