does the 3rb run an AFM, as the GenIII outback runs map = easy intake mods.

my outback i got a bit of 3" stainless, welded a bracket half way along to mount it, sprayed it black and then wacked a pod on the end. Took about 15 minutes to make and the intake temps are the same before and after, even without the airbox.. go figure. Induction is alot louder, but the top end seem be be free-ed up somewhat, revs cleaner.

Mine appears to be a MAF (air flow rather than manifold pressure) sensor

- edit - after looking at a workshop manual it appears the 3RB (and probably all of the Gen IV's use a combination of MAF/intake air temp and MAP
