Clutch Kit Cost?

I bought an OEM Exedy unit from Brakes Direct for $625. I've put on 10,000kms including a Winton track day and have had no issues at all. My mechanic advised me against the HD Exedy unit due to the shudder.

I had the clutch on my 08 gtb replaced at the stealer Dec 2014 for $995 in parts, including throwout bearing($300!), so the above figures are in the ballpark. Exedy HD should be good, but sounds tricky getting the exact model.
