gen 5 3.6r performance mods

Hi All,

I noticed a few threads coming up on improving performance on the 3.6l engine. My particular issue is with the gearbox which feels sluggish and the low HP numbers from such a big engine. I have installed front and rear whiteline sway bars and am happy with the ride now (lot less roll on sharp corners)

I was thinking of an exhaust upgrade and tune (I'm in Melbourne)..any suggestions on the exhaust/headers (might use the x tune after).

Anyone here have a 3.6 that has been tuned and moded? Keen to know what I can do to lift performance within a reasonable spend (anymore than $7/8k and I may as well upgrade to the 2.5gt).

heard great things from raptor in terms of their headers and the performance increase they offer combined with a kido tune. look into the commercial vendors section of the forums and look up the kido tune and raptor headers. if you throw a full exhaust, headers and tune i would imagine it would be a complete beast, put it on e85 and it would be a monster, as long as there is a united near you! or you could go eflex.....

Been following the raptor threads...not sure if they are available for the 3.6r. I know they have superchargers available on their website. Thanks for the tip I'll look into the commercial vendors.

Raptor is good and also do a customer exhaust if none is available.

Raptor does retail header sets for the 3.6. More stock coming early May.

There is a supercharger system for the 3.6 also, it's around the $5k mark
