Well that goes without saying. Defs getting it retuned does anyone know if the stock ecu can handle duel standard 98 and e85 tuning. I have heard it is capable but only the 1 GHz version. Is this correct?

Being a 1Mb ECU for the 2006, it is capable of both

thats awesome

where are you guys located KiDo?

or anyone know someone in newcastle thats good for tuning after parts get dropped in?

just ordered a whole bunch of goodies and finally got my nexus into Timur's USB Rom booting on ignition but not installed yet waiting on a y-cable and navi surround for install.
(will post pics or wiring and tablet soon)

also gonna go have the wheel barings and the transmission checked out as that whine seems to increase with acceleration and mainly in lower gears.

also pisses me off to no end :(

Hey guys sorry for the lack of activity been working and awaiting parts

just got my transmission serviced today and flushed out as the fluid was getting rather brown.

shifting like a dream now :)

been doing some wiring work on the nexus
pictures are below

I have read about problem with heat and as I leave my car out it does tend to get very warm inside, so i decided to remove the battery to reduce heat and power the tablet directly from the USB.

1. removed the back of the case (just slip your nail or a thin plastic tool eg credit card into edge of back casing and pry open all the way around to avoid breaking anything.)

2. lift the battery out of the tablet (it is held on with double sided tape)

3. carefully remove the power lead from the PCB.

4. cut the port off the end of the battery.

5. find an old USB cable and cut it in half, keeping the Male USB end.

6. connect the red wires from the port to the single red wire on the USB cable and the black wires to the single black wire on the USB cable. (there will also be either yellow and white or green and white wires, these are data wires and as such are no longer needed. just tape them off)

7. make a small hole in the back casing for the USB cable to exit the tablet.

replace the back cover and plug it in and you are good to go.

I also ran the code
fastboot oem off-mode-charge 0
to cause my nexus to boot when power is connected.

seems to function fine even tho it dies when power is cut but load time is only 30 secs when the car starts.
currently running Timur's USB Rom and Torque. also purchased an OBDLink LX which operates through bluetooth, very easy to install and gives great feedback on the car.
if anyone has any questions on this please feel free to ask. still have a while to go yet till it goes in the dash but is on its way :)

dropped the car into Autocraft Subaru Specialist in Gateshead this morning to get some parts installed

left them with front and rear cusco sway bar, DBA 4000 T3 slotted rotors, intima ceramic pads, HEL braided brake lines, Xforce y-pipe and front muffler, Raptor Headers and while they are at it and because I am feeling very lazy I left them with HID kits for the lowbeams and foggies.

now just waiting to see how much they can get done today

so keen to get it back and will post some pics and videos later

and it does feel amazing I wasnt able to do the headers and exhaust today but got the others done and it so much tighter around bends less body roll and the brakes are much smoother and have more bite to them.

really wanted to hear that subi burble as i drove home but not today.

apparently Marshal at Autocraft said there will be some issues with the x-force y pipe and front mufflers that i order and he wasnt sure it would fit, any thoughts dudes of the subi world?

will put up some pics of the brakes setup later

as promised some photos
http://imgur.com/J6Wg1JT,dl79FmY,8xWHW26,kXWtSVJ,5Gm0q8f,nodmIoX,It57GZf#0
these are the rotors, brake pads, also sway bars not pictured here, carbon rear emblem and carbon grille with 3.0r logo and also got some new sti floor mats which look very swish if I do say so myself.

spoke to marshall from Autocraft subaru and he is not sure the xforce y-pipe will attach to the existing cats, anyone have any insight on this, the link for the part is on the first post.

or any idea on cats to replace the factory ones?

also please ignore the current condition of the car as it is getting detailed and resprayed on monday and is very VERY dirty atm.

The x-force y pipe bolts to the rear mufflers. The centre (mid) section is what bolts to the stock header system. It should bolt up if your headers are still OE. Did you get the correct x-force system, as the 4cyl centre (mid) section will not line up with the H6 factory header system.

If your factory header system has been modified, then the x-force system won't directly bolt up.

I had the H6 x-force centre section bolted directly to my OE headers and then bolted it to my K2gear headers without any dramas.

Pics of the H6 factory system and the H6 x-force system.

cheers for the reply 3rspecb

I have the right one, its definetly for the EZ30. I am also installing raptor headers but they are meant to be straight bolt on too.

i purchased this
https://www.bestmufflers.com/bshop/product_info.php?products_id=4830&osCsid=ea0ffbf2864b4181bb82e8034fc30902

so they should just bolt on right?
