Nice! Although I would recommend shockworks coilovers instead - mine are getting installed next week, but the reviews are nothing short of amazing.

Xforce Mild Steel Y-pipe and front Mufflers
DBA4653S - DBA 4000 Series Clubspec T3 Slotted Brake Rotor front and back set
HEL Braided BRAKE Lines SUBARU Legacy 3.0 Spec B (6-Line Kit)

however i wanna get some new brake pads for the stock brakes, does anyone know of a good brand for ceramic pad and if possible post a link to where it can be purchased from??
Im also looking at getting some work done on the engine, a rebuild or replacement and was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the matter and/or know a place in newcastle where I could get this done.
My current engine is at the 190k mark so done a lot which is why i wanna rebuild.

any thoughts would be appreciatted.

also if anyone has parts they are looking to sell that will fit a preface lift 2006 3.0r non spec b model PM me as I interested in taking it further than already intended.(dam modding bug so contagious)

I'm running Intima SS pads, and I'm very happy with them, although I'm not stressing the brakes hugely given I don't track the car.

I got them from paul from street to track, here: viewtopic.php?f=69&t=27879

Unless the engines making funny noises, I wouldn't worrie about an engine Rebuilt/replacement for another 200km's. 190kms is only halfway though it's life...

Nice list of mods.

I've done many of the mods you've listed. The combo of the headers + exhaust can be very loud and droney. The raptor headers also made my exhaust quite raspy, I definitely recommend running a centre muffler over the xforce centre resonator.

Does your engine have any current issues that you want fixed with the rebuild? Or just want to refresh the engine so to speak?

engine is ok at this point but i would like to have some work done just to refresh it and give it a longer life.

Mebe not a full rebuild but some work on the engine is on my list.

also looking into a vibration in the steering which is quite bad when braking heavily. i believe replacing the rotors and pads should fix that. (already replaced LCA rear bushes)

the car is also having some weird high pitched whine when speeding up and turning. I have replaced the power steering pump and much of the fittings but still having the issue. however sometimes it is worse than others.

I probs should have said I wanted to do a full mechanical check up rather than an engine rebuild i guess.

I would get that steering vibration and high pitched noise done first, then 200k major service which should give you that longevity you're after.

The vibration when braking will definitely be your rotors. You can possibly get them machined if they have enough meat left on them, but don't be tempted to leave the old pads on them to save a few $$. If you go the machining route, find an old school machinist with experience who will balance the rotors properly else the problem will return in a short while.
cheers, David

yer i thought i was the rotor just gonna purchase upgraded ones from dba and new pads and some braided brake lines which should stop it from happening again.

was thinking about tuning after i get the headers and exhaust parts put in, has anyone had experience with PBE Dynotech up in sandgate?

any ideas as to what that high pitched noise can be as it has been diagnosed as power steering by 3 places but no one can fix it? the pump has been replaced and i monitor it daily doesnt seem to be leaking or anything.

seems like it could have something to do with the rotors but im really not sure.

I haven't encountered a high pitched noise before so am just guessing - could be wheel bearings or possibly the transmission? Wouldn't hurt to inspect all your suspension bushings, CV boots etc while you're getting the rotors done.

The only whine I can think of when this occurs is a supercharger or turbo charger.
Did the previous owner happen to fit one of these and forget to tell you about it???

My car whines when in lower gears and accelerating/slowing down because some lovely person only put 2L of gearbox oil in a 4.5L fill gearbox. Changing the gearbox helped, but it still whines a little.
