Hello all.

A week ago I removed and re-installed the throttle body resonator to access the clutch slave cylinder.
I looked under the bonnet today to find I forgot to connect the PCV hose to the resonator because i'm
an idiot.

My main concern, besides all that unfiltered air that entered my engine is that the car idled fine and
the engine was smooth all through the rev range.

This is a huge hole past the MAF sensor so i'm surprised this didn't make the ECU throw a lean code,
also shouldn't this make the engine run really poorly?

Does this seem normal?

ECU would have added a big positive fuel trim to compensate.

Yeah, just seemed strange that it ran so well and didn't set of a code for the fuel trims being so high.

I've seen people blame things like leaking intake o-rings for lean codes, this seems trivial compared
to a 10c coin sized vacuum leak.

As long as that seems normal i'm happy
