Done a quick search, couldn't find any elaborate info on this so I thought id start a topic.

apart from the usual cat back with headers exhaust upgrades, what benefits does changing the cat yield (sound/power)?

to my understanding there is 3 on the car in stock form. any idea on what the coast associated would be to replace all cats?

would be awesome if anyone could provide a few advantages as well as options (brands, etc)

Can't tell you much about them as I don't know much about them, but I cost me $600 for 2 hi flow cats and deleted the 3rd cat, performance advantages well its allows more flow so there would be some benefit haha, I got my done with the whole exhaust so I cant tell you about a difference in sound, well at least I shed some light on the cost haha, goodluck

ill most likely be replacing my cats soon - can anyone here weigh in on why most people replace 2 and delete the 3rd (opposed to change all 3) and whether 100 or 200cpi are most suited to the H6?

This is just my experience and is in no way gospel.

I would say its worth doing everything, the sound will be much nicer and the bigge - you will get much more out of a Kido retune with headers & 2 hi-flow cats along with the 3rd cat deleted. This should gel nicely with ur cat back & decent hi-flow rear muffs. The one good thing in the stock 3.0r system is the centre resonator, it has good
flow and helps to keep an upgraded system a little quieter.

The 3rd cat is just for more emissions BS, a simple custom 2 into 1 pipe with a collector improves the flow here.

The factory headers and front 2 cats are a massive restriction along with the stock rear mufflers. You should see a pic of the stock headers cut away, very poor design
with no collector incorporated. The raptor headers are a great design and along with a retune will improve low end torque and smoothness.

Just be aware it will throw an emissions CEL with hi-flow cats. No probs, Matt can tune this out.

did you go for 200 or 100 cel cats? also when purchasing aftermarket cats do i need to take the 02 sensors into consideration or do they just plug into any cat?

I went for 200 cel genuine USA magnaflow cats - 2.5" outlets. U wont believe the price.

Just buy 4 x s/steel sensor bungs from Bursons or the like (cheap as) and make sure ur exhaust guy gets the cats located close to the stock location so the
wiring harness and sensors will reach to where he welds in the bungs at the front n rear of the cats.

The front AFR sensors and rear O2 sensors are colour coded to make it easier for the fabricator .

Best for him to make sure this will all come together with a dummy run before he starts welding things permanently.

I know this too well as my fabricator stuffed up the bung locations the first time. Then connected rear O2 harness to front AFR sensor. They must think we are
fucking stupid . Any way knew straight away something was up (affects the tune) and he fixed it the next day.

i think ill end up swapping the 2 for 200cel cats and doing the 3rd delete like most.
