Sparkplug Issue

Hey guys,

Well its time to change my sparkplugs so I bought some online, the NGK BKR6E standard types. I thought these were the correct plugs for this motor (3.0R).
However, I just took out one of the the old plugs and it appears to be quite different, they are NGK ILFR6B iridium plugs.

Despite being an iridium one, they appear to have a longer reach.
Is this an issue, have I bought the wrong replacement plugs?

Think the ones you bought are for the SVX 3.3L H6 and not the EZ30 H6.

BKR6E fits these models:

EDITED.

Check the full part number on those BKR6E's

they and teh iridiums should both have 19mm thread length

according to the NGK part finder

The L in ILFR6B stands for long reach. Read the the second page of the pdf that robbks posted, it advises that plugs with L in front have longer thread length then it's normal equivalent plug.

Please tell me where you have been able to source ILFR7B as NGK stopped making this plug a while back :?

If the OP is after a colder plug then try NGK LFR7IAX, this fits 100% and is still available.

Recesses the electrode further from the combustion chamber offering slightly more resistance to pre-ignition :)
