hey guys the bushes in my 3RB are cactus. 5th looks like 1st.. haha
what brant type bushes are people using to replace OEM.
dont need a quick shift kit, stock throw is fine

Technically you only need to do the shift linkage bushings but may as well do the front and rear bushings too

I had the same issue and Subaru replaced all the bushes for under $300.00. Shifter is like new again. considering I had got 150k's out of the OEM bushes, I thought this was faily reasonable for a trusted part.

I have a bushing bundle in the center console of my car but will probably end up going stock Subaru, I am NVH fussy worse luck for me.

I think the front and rear bushings are the ones which dramatically impact NVH - I'd inspect the factory ones; if they're fine just leave them in and swap out the shift linkage bushings.

Just leave it in 3rd. you can take off fine and still do highway speeds

I had exactly the same prob recently.

I bought the 'Bodacious bushing bundle' and wish I hadn't.

The NVH was terrible! All I needed was the linkage bushes (~$30 from entra)

I've still got the front Kartboy bush installed, only because I had cut the stock one to remove it, but the rear Kartboy bush is sitting in my garage cupboard after being installed for only 1 day.

i dont find mine noisy deffs not quiet but cant only hear it in 2nd over the exhuast at cruise

that kit with the group N transmount deffs rated high in my book but each to their own

I have only put front and rear trans bushes in so far, I think mostly what I needed was the linkage bush and possibly the pivot bush but though I had may aswell replace all of them while im under there, have still got to install the crossmember, linkage and pivot bushes

there is a little bit of extra transmission noise but only in the cool mornings it is really noticeable, the misso has only really complained once so far so I cant whinge myself haha

New to the forum and relatively new to cars all together.
Just have a question,

My car makes a creaking/ clunking sound whilst in gear checked a couple things, couldnt find anything

Whilst in gear though it is quite sloppy could this clunking/creaking be caused by a crazked/worn out transmission bushing??
