So, after a crap day decided to take the "long way home" and let the H6 have it's head to the redline a few times.
At the end of that little run the engine light came on and it's chugging like an old tractor!
The day's not getting any better!

Nothing to stress about I would say, typical H6, finds a reason to limp home anytime it feels like
Is yours tuned or not?

Get someone with a scanguage/tactrix/similar device to check your CEL.. Hopefully nothing too bad!

Thanks Tradewind, I hope you're right. It's never done it before though and it gets plenty of stick.
Yeah, zch91. will take it into local Ultra Tune in the morning. Hopefully they can sort it.

Phew. Sh!t does happen.
Had the 100k service done a few weeks back including new plugs. Seems number 5 plug lead detached itself enough to cause a miss.
All back to 100%.

Serves you right for taking those left handers at speed, tends to push the block to the right a tad too much!
Hi Mud!!!

Hi Rob!
Don't tell me you're still persevering with old Subarus too?
I think it was actually a large bump right at the end of my little loop that did the damage.

Hi Cam, yeh still driving the Spec.B Had the 112500klms service the other day and the mechanics thought I had the best kept Liberty they ever seen, been through the selling idea a few years back but I just can't seem to want to let it go. I still love driving it and nothing out there attracts me enough to want to replace it.
Rob.

haha sounds like my old xr6 falcon! didn't really enjoy a thrashing.
I'm surprised that my car hasn't come up with the engine light during cruises where its above 4k most of the time.
Good to know you got it all sorted, im sure it'll be purring for a while longer

Thanks Jay. Gave it a repeat thrashing this morning and nothing fell off / blew up etc!
I know how you feel I think Rob. I keep thinking I'd like a change but the only things that would seriously interest me are seriously expensive, or only have 2 doors which is no good for a "work vehicle". I have no doubt yours is one of the best Gen 4's out there!

Your right Cam, the only car I seriously thought I might part the Spec.B for was a 135 BMW late last year. But the ability to cruise around in the Spec.B unnoticed and still be able to scare off others in the traffic light grand prix is great. I doubt doing it in a BMW would be the same, they seem to attract a certain driver, one that I'm not prepared to adopt just yet.
Thanks for the compliment on the Liberty, nice to see that you still remember it.
Rob.

lol. M135 is what I like (I was going to say the look of, but that's the bit I don't so much like) the idea of. Plenty fast, compact, rear wheel drive and nicely finished inside. As you say though, in my little town I'd get "look, that wanker real estate agent has a new BM".
If JD will sell me his at a good price in a few years time though.....I might be tempted.
