CEL Codes, running fine.

I've got the following CEL codes, car seems to be running just fine. Use 98 Vortex in it.

P0302 - Cylinder 2 misfire detected
P0304 - Cylinder 4 misfire detected
P0306 - Cylinder 6 misfire detected
P0000 - ????

Which bank is this? Passenger? Think it might be a O2 sensor? Find it odd that it's the whole side.. hence why I'm leaning towards sensor as it's the only thing linking them..

Check your spark plugs or coil packs. A friend with a Lib 2.5lltr turbo recently had a misfire code come up and its was due to a cracked coil pack on one of the spark plugs.

Try to check your headers or lambdas for holes ...

A had the same truble. Lambda some time left, some time right gave to ecu AFR 17 or above. Ecu when saw this give you an error of missfire for hole side.

In my car it was truble in spacers in exhoust. I had holes in every connection: headers to uppipe, uppipe to gate and turbo, turbo and down pipe((((

It was coming and going fr a while. I put it down to dirty plugs or crappy O2 sensor, I was aiming to get them replaced next service.

Went for a drive to Lithgow over Bells Line of Road, on the way back to Sydney the car started playing up, misfiring and hesitating on light throttle and what sounded like ALOT of pinging on light to medium load. So limped it home. The next day it was better but slight miss on the light throttle again.

I rang up NRG and booked it in for them to have a look.

Nick at NRG was a bit stumped as the bloody thing worked perfectly. He had it for a couple of days and ran smooth for him.

He did have a theory about some VCT thing but they checked them and it was ok. They did a minor service anyway and gave the car back.

It's been running fine for a last few days but did notice the engine light start to flash a couple of time alone the M2.. seems only when it's been cruising for a while on light throttle. The engine light goes away for now though. Once it sticks again, I'll drop it back off at NRG and see if they can get to the bottom of it.

PITA at the moment as it's our family wagon and with #1 due date today, don't want to be caught out. The wife has enough issues getting in and out of the Recaros in the Golf.

I had a problem very similar to this just after I changed my plugs.Ended up being a loose connector on the coilpack which sits over the plugs.

Clicked it all the way in and problem solved.

Just started getting the same issue here and had to clear the codes 2 times in less than a week now with RomRaider Logger :? Before that, nothing at all. The only thing I can think of is we had the 100,000km service done recently and they disturbed the connectors/coils when changing the plugs.

Will take a look and see if I can spot anything loose down there...

Had a good check of connectors etc, all seem good.

Every now and then lately it has started to really get down in the dumps.

Starts PINGING on light throttle and hesitating/jerking.

The CEL codes are the same, clear them they come back in about a month.

A highly recommended Subaru workshop in Sydney had the car for two days and couldn't find what was doing it.

I've now moved to Brisbane, so is there any shops on the Gold Coast or Brisbane (I live in Ormeau Ridge now with all the bikies :) ) that are close that might know what the fark is going on as my wife has lost trust in it.

Check out Subievolution in Brissie mate.

With all the pinging these cars do with the dogsh!t factory tune it's hard on plugs.

My money is on dodgey O2 sensor making it run super lean. Code coming on at idle or under acceleration?

Throws the code when on the highway, so driving at cruise. You can feel it misfire on light throttle.

Either a vacuum leak or O2 sensor failure. FInd someone with a Tactrix to run Learning View and I bet it will have AF#2 showing as damaged

Mine is pretty much the same as Nick's. Very random and only occurs every now and then. It's been about 2-3 months now since it happened, but both times it was on light throttle/cruise.

I have a Tactrix 2.0, but LV doesn't support my ROM. I wonder if the new version of RomRaider will let me check the same?

D2UJ001H for yo0urs from memory, same as my H6 :) I changed the 10 digit ECU ID to the one used in D2UH001M with a Hex Editor and was using LV based on that(EcuEdit also supports it) ;)

However, new RR should support it now as well.
