First, sorry for my english I am french Canadian!!! :)

I just have finish my EZ36 Swap on my GC8 boby and I looking to build a turbo piping setup base on Raptors Headers teamed with a GTX3076 turbo and 650cc injectors, all that on a Stock engine.

I have looking to find a H6 (ez36) specialist here in Horth America to help me and the only one I found is Outfront Motorsports and they give me only bad news about my swap and my turbo setup. They tell me that the EZ36 crankshaft is extremely weak, 6psi is max, they have broken 3 cranks in half at 8 psi. They tell me the only way to fix the problem is a custom billet crank they build for the ez36 at $4000USD , and has been reliable at 15psi. But 4000$ is alot of money for me!!!

Can you give me the name of some shop specialist on EZ36 H6 engine with turbo setup to help me to have other option or opinion?

I am ready to invest in forged piston an rod and ect............., but 4000$ on a crank si to much for me!!!

The EZ36 is it really maxed at 6psi for streat application on can we go higher on stock engine?

Please help me!!!

Thanks in advance!

You will be just fine on the stock crankshaft

Keep the boost under 10psi and have perfect tuning

I am aware of the stories you are hearing from OFMS, it's largely a scare campaign, however as I said, keep the boost very moderate and life will be happy

Matt?? You thoughts?

Our big build EZ36 motors are billet cranks as well, with a cheaper price tag but not by much. Motor alone is around $15K for an assembled supplied shortblock with rods/pistons. Has only been a single batch of 4 motors built so far. 640hp@wheels seems to say they are capable BUT knowing 2 boosted EZ36's on stock motors locally have gone bang so far on big boost, I woudl stick with 6psi boost and limit torque to a flat figure using cam timing to keep cylinder pressure consistent.

I have done a few stock motors on low boost, all happily making just shy of 400whp which is about the safe limit of these engines

Spit out big ends

Every assumes it is the offset rod design like the FA20 engines but it isn't the issue.

Is actually wrist pin location relative to rod length OR a tweak or 2 to a few other things if you dont want to open the engine.

A 6-7 psi supercharger system is smile and won't stress the motor as much - possible option

Ok the boost target will be 6 to 7 psi MAX!

I all ready have my GTX3076 ar.63 from my old 2.5l 400whp setup.

Alot of my frend and my tuner tell me that my .63 housing will chock my 3.6L to dead! They tell me I should go with a GTX35 with big housing or at less go with a ar1.06 on my GTX3076.

I am on a small budget so the GTX35 is out of question but do you think I should go with ths ar1.06 or keep my ar.63 to keep the spool as low as possible?

I still have to do all the piping, the wirering, the tuning and I have 5000USD left to do all that, so yes I am on a ''small'' budjet and it will do the job!

Change housings. You will have full boost by 2800 on the 1.06 anyway and wont be choking the engine uo top

Given the ease with which these motors pump air - the .63 would choke it bad
