The ECU then biases (my words) the program for that particular fuel.

Interesting. I best find my spare key then. It's somewhere.....
I have a 3 year old so that could mean in the bin. But it is somewhere.

By then I will have full flex fuel and you can change fuels as needed.

( I am presuming no but thought I would ask Just in case I end up doing this mod)

Yours is DOXJ001M
It is the most stable flex fuel ECU to date. 1Mb without the complexity of SI Drive

Looks like I am getting a new fuel pump next service then :)
When are you next in Melbourne?

Early July :)

Should we plan to have mine reflashed with the updates?

So this is the pump you guys recommend?

Just worried because it specifies the GT model, it'll fit the 3.0 right? And is this the cheapest price?

Got my car tuned for E85 a couple of hours ago. Definitely an improvement in the mid range and top end. Although weirdly, 0-100 times seemed to have remained the same. Probably because the E85 is a bit diluted from the 98 I had before. Will give it a few tanks to see if it improves! Overtaking is an absolute breeze!! Love it!

I'm just clueless on this, but for me to get e85 to work on my car, I need new fuel pump thingo and a tune, right?

Would it be wise to replace the fuel lines as well, just as a precaution?

Is there a tune that will allow me to run both e85 and 98, depending whats around and how I feel at fill time?

Contact Matt a.k.a. KIDO_Tune on this forum regarding the tune.
Just excellent!

You need to change the pump to a fully E85 compatible unit. They are readily available and they are also available off this forum.
Here viewtopic.php?f=68&t=27211
It is wise to change the pump 4 tankfulls after conversion.
While you do the pump, you also replace the Inlet Strainer and main Fuel Filter.
The fuel lines are fine and do not need to be replaced.

Matt has recently developed a full flex fuel tune to allow you to switch seamlessly between the two and mixtures in between.
I am waiting for Matt's August trip to have this upgrade flashed into my car.

The first point to start with is contact Matt.
Cheers!

Just had the e85 tune done today, impressed with the results already, still had almost ten liters of 98 in the car and the improvements are phenomenal. can not wait for a few more tanks and the new fuel pump. Anyone who has not done this, got on it, you will actually be blown away

On my second tank, do any of the auto guys feel as though launching with half throttle or less then flooring it is faster?

According to torque and my blutooth adapter, I'm still getting 6 seconds to 100.

Or am I expecting too much? :p

UPDATE

Every H6 ECU for the 03 to MY09 Liberty and even the Legacy now has full Flex Fuel
I also have Flex Fuel for some of the 3.6L H6 motors as well now(Tribeca/Outback/Liberty/Legacy)
Obviously already have Flex Fuel on the majority of 2.5L Gen4s/WRX/ForesterXT/STi
For those who are not on the Facebook page, there has also been another development... One of the Liberty Gen4 GT EJ20's is undergoing Flex Fuel development

Also, contrary to one workshop who said there must be a string of blown motors failing from this flex fuel tune... there is NONE(unless we count Scyance/Brenton and the bad fuel pump install etc)
