What happens in closed loop though, where you're targeting stoich? You can't simply increase maf output for corresponding voltage by 30% in sub 80g/s ranges could you?

By multiplying injector pulsewidth how do you then compensate for hysterisis on tip in and other deccel characteristics though? Does it switch to another mode or are you assuming voltage drops and thereby increases dead time?

Also, how do you then account for knock control strategy then, if your Iam is increased to 2.0 based on kca advance being manipulated. What happens if ecu goes into rough correction when you switch maps back to 98? Will it not be targeting iam of 2.0 again and thus constantly using kca to try (unsuccesfully) to get there ?

Closed loop is the primary table so on E85, the E85 table adds fuel while the closed loop is being referenced in primary thus simulating the injector size change thus keeping good fuel economy and being able to tweak E85 cruise independat of MAF by tweaking fuel table. So too rich on cruise, just pull some fuel back from say 30% additive to 27% etc

E85 uses stock tip in values for the inj size of 98, as you dont need to flood the chamber and put out the fire so to speak although the tune can be set to have the E85 as a final pulsewidth multiplier rather than just an Open Loop multiplier.

FLKC still uses normal KCA at IAM 2.00 or even at IAM 1.05, since the tune self blends from E85 to E70 right down to E10 as required. E85 timing advance is an additive same as IAT compensations

Tuned correctly, E85 can make more cruising torque despite the rich AFR's. Since AFR's are a ratio, a lot of people automactically assume a rich AFR means bad fuel economy. However, if on 98RON you need 60 grams per second of airflow to generate enough torque to overcome wind drag, tyre resistance etc and maintain constant road speed, you need roughly 4 grams of fuel to get 14.7:1. If you maximise torque then you can cut airflow back to say 36g/sec as you need less throttle to keep a constant speed which means you are using the same 4 grams of fuel since the AFR's are 9:1
The O2 sensor still has closed loop feedback to maintain optimal fuel economy as well.

Interesting. I'll be keeping an eye on your results!

WOnder what the fuel economy will be like on yours now!

I’ll get 400km from this tank which includes mostly thrashing.
I reckon we’ll be able to get 500km out of it.

Here’s some maths for everyone:
_______________________________________________________
$1.70 (std price for 98) x 60L = $102
600km (to a tank of 98) = $0.17 (dollars per km’s)

$1.35 (std price for E85) x 60L = $81
500km (to a tank of E85) = $0.162 (dollars per km’s)

So with that said, E85 works out 5% cheaper to run $/Km
(Assuming i get 500km’s to a tank which i believe i will)

To match the $/Km figure of 98, i’d need to get 470km out of a tank of E85.

Currently on Matt's base tune, am at 230km since filling up with E85, gauge showing half tank and info display at 210km to empty. Pretty impressive so far.
