as stated my car has a loud thumping sound from between the front seats when taking off in 1st or if loading up 2nd at low speed
can feel it through the floor of the car but not through the shifter

cars done it since i got it since having g88 do the centerdiff in december wasnt as bad but tonight driving back home got pritty bad to the point i didnt want to drive

going to check tranny mounts and tailshaft center bearing tomorrow when fitting my exhaust
but any other ideas ?
will try and get a vid tomorrow after work

Engine mounts? Problably unlikely as you said it felt like it was coming from between the seats

duno will check them out tomorrow only has 90,000 on the clock but yeh deffently back behind the shifter

Check the centre transmission mount bolts - two 14mm long bolts

Ed had these come loose / off the car at track day and it was symptomatic of what you're describing

+1 to what mick said... i could feel the weight/momentum of the gearbox moving under hard acceleration when it happened at track day
that said i was feeling it also through the shifter...so if you're not feeling any movement through the shifter then i wouldn't say definitively it would be that...tranny mount tailshaft mount engine mount could be any of them?

Thanks guys yeh feels/sounds like a loose mount iwill check those tonight while fitting the exhaust
Yeh occasionally get slight movement from the shifter but not in the scale or violence of the thumping through the trans tunnel

so quickly pinched a use of a hoist next door to have a look while the bosses wernt looking
seems the the rear tranny mount is broken middle bit where the 2 14mm bolts are is fine but the outer edge part seems to of broken off on both sides
so now to sorce one of them cheap now im a poor cunt haha or get phat to get my a sti one

Similar thing happened to me, but my tranny mount had snapped in two! Mick swapped it out for an STi one, now it's all good plus the STi unit is a sturdier design. Can't remember how much it is but I do remember it being only a little bit more than the stock mount so might as well upgrade it

yeh hopefully he has one in stock on Monday horrible feel driving it bloody pain in the ass cars are haha

In addition to my tranny mount the boys at g88 found my tailshaft front uni and yoke have snapped so need a new tailshaft yes
