Castrol Magnatec 5-30 oil

was just wondering Castrol Magnatec 5-30 oil would be a decent oil for the car.. have read alot of post half saying use 5-30, 10-40.
i think ill stick to the 5-30 just wanted to know if the magnatec was a good one to stick with . cheers guys

I would use Castrol Sports Edge 5w-30 (its on sale at supercheapauto right now $40 per bottle), I don't like Magnatec but that is a personal preference.
Subaru says 5w-30, I would use that unless you have heaps of kilometers on your car.

ah Yeah I seen that.. damn I already got the magnatec should be fine for now might switch after this 5L , which should be a while lol

It's not on sale for that cheap usually. Limit of 2 per customer but I'd stockpile the edge for that price

I use Castrol Edge Titanium 5-30 too. It's great stuff. Supercrap had it on special last week too, so restocked.
Also remember to get 6L (or multiples of 6 ;p) as 5L wont be enough.

Used to use this but have now switched to Motul fully synth 10W-40
