Weird noise when starting...

My MY05 3.oRB wagon has a weird sound under start up, its not the engine itself, but it sounds like the starter motor or something..

Pretty much if you hold the key for too long it makes a screetching sound, and when its cold there is a nasty vibration sort of sound (as if the fan was hitting something)

any ideas??

Could be the bearing in the stator motor through out shaft
Once the motor starts if the gear is still engaged the gear is then driven fastDr then what the starter motor can spin so has a type of one way clutch and bearing...

As for a vibration no idea sorry
