Mufflers for MY 07 3.0 R B Wagon

Postby Egg » Sat Jan 26, 2008 5:24 am

Hello was just wondering about the following

I own an My07 3.0 Rb Wagon auto.

Just looking at some info on exhausts and was just wanting to get a note out of it and was wondering what people are doing. I was looking through your forums and liked the sound of the Sti mufflers, but there was nothing further on price and where to get them from.

I also understand that people are also using hi tech in Syd for mufflers, but havent heard any as yet and was after some feedback on them, and was wondering if anyone if Melb does this type of thing or would it be better getting those Sti muflers, or to get a set of Hi tech mufflers delivered from Sydney?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I dont wanna change the whole exhaust just the mufflers as I have heard that once you tinker with the whole exhaust it stuffs up the power and torque curve. But as I mentioned I just want to get a nice note out of it nothing too loud.

Thanks.

I have the quad-tip STi exhaust, it's quieter than the Genomes.

Do you have to buy these Genomes only from Subaru?

Remember prices on Japanparts needs to +shipping.

Also if you were going to buy the Genome mufflers new, I'd recommend the Genome Sports package. You get the STi Genome strut brace and boost gauge as well.
If you don't keep them... you can always sell these parts off ;)

Thanks for that. I would probably go for the genome ones as I would like some sort of note and I like the look of em as well.
With the Genomes, are they just a simple bolt on install? Or do they need modifying to fit?

Im pretty happy happy with the responses I got on this as some forums get nasty and dont want to answer bugger all. Thanks.

Dont suppose anyone selling any of these mufflers they dont want?
