Supercharged 3.0R

Not sure if this has been posted before, this is an interesting Legacy running a supercharger on the 3.0R. According to the specs 308HP/39kg torque. I think it is back to AWD, but has been RWD and drifted previously. It still had most of its interior so as a drifter it was probably a bit too heavy. Cost(I think) is around $10K for parts only, but my Japanese is pretty hopeless.[/img]
Enjoy :D

Now wouldn't THAT be SWEET! I'm hopeful that Subaru will go down the path of super or turbo charging the 3.0R some day soon. It would be a sensational point of difference over their European rivals (the likes of BMW & Audi).... might even make the GT a cheaper alternative! Because a force fed flat six would clearly be the flagship model!

Cheers,
Deucer.

Anyone know what the stats are for these supercharged 3.0R's? kW? Nm?

Hey Alan,

You must have the contacts to find out more about the Superchanged 3.0R. I saw elsewhere some say the kit of parts is about 10 KAUD, then shipping, fitting, tuning, etc. Any further details on the kit and process?

Kind Regards,

Mark.

I did have a chat to Rotax I think it is, in Perth, about doing a supercharger on a 3.0, they said it all depended on how much power you wanted but typically a complete drop off, fit test, drive out would be 15k. The development guy there said about 270kw would be realistic without opening the engine up. Not to bad considering the resale of a 3.0 at the moment...

Guys,

I am interested in any pictures of the finished product/kit and if you can provide any details of a local oz supercharger 3.0R.

Any one know what torque peak value is created and the rating of the torque converter in the AT5?
