Squeaky noise from drive belt on 3.0R-B 2005

Mine lasted about 2 weeks plus a track day before it let go. Even if it does let go it is still driveable for a short distance you just won't have power steering and your alternator won't be charging the battery.

Cant see the picture but, if the pulley has seized completely, you won't make it. if the pulley still spins it will be ok.

If your pulley has seized remove the belt and drive it without it, you will have a few lights on (alternator etc) and it will be heavy on the steering at low speeds, but you'll get there fine.
Built not bought, it's a way of life.

Hi, the sound was pretty bad in my car before i had it fixed, so i think it should be ok for the 10K drive in ur case as i did drive around 50K before took the car in. For the cost, yes it is a bit of rip-off at Subaru regarding their quote. It cost me $283 for 1 pulley + belt and labour. Good luck.

110km from home and lost power steering, then warning lights, then progressive electrical shut down and finally diminishing lights as i pulled into New Italy. Bearing shat itself and belt derailed. NRMA man gave me a new battery and i drove the rest of the way with lights. Might have got an extra arm muscle in the meantime. Fortunately only power steering, alternator belt so will be back once the parts sourced.

Just clocked up 146,000 km!
