Has anyone replaced the waterpump on thier H6? Any idea how long they can last?

I only ask this as the kms on my wagon are nudging the 250,000 mark and i would hate for it to kick the bucket a long way from home(which my car seems to be quite regularly).

I've replaced all the hoses so was thinking the waterpump could be next.
