Need help with few things!

Engine light and cruise control light came on earlier today and also when ive been driving i hear like a clacking sound near the front left tire and sometimes at the front right tire. Anyone know what could cause these problems much help could be appreciated. Thanx in advanced. =)

check your O2 sensors and your cats. Hope this helps

Hi Alex,
Might be an idea to have a mechanic obtain the CEL (check engine light) code, that'll head you in the right direction.

Maybe try clearing it by disconnecting the battery.

i fixed the engine light lol it was the gas cap haha, just gotta get rid of that sound might take to mechanic on monday to see what it is.

The clacking sound might be the front brake pad level indicators. These are a metal spring that when your pads are low scrape the rotor and make a sound when you brake.
Not sure if they are on the H6 but most new vehicles have them.

Maybe not.
The Engine and Cruise control light will reset after 6 or so restarts of the engine.

thanx guys youve been a huge help, it was the bushes the guy that changed didnt do a good job with fitting them so getting em redone tomorrow for free. =)

If catalyst efficiency is below threshold you will get the cruise not working and engine light on
This is more common issue in winter as the system takes a while to warm up and with age the system efficiency reduces. A reflash with a tune that gives bit wider tolerance on the catalyst values will eliminate the problem permanently

Or you can disable it.
Code P0420 (Cat Efficiency Below Threshold).
