I'm averaging 14.6 (5,000km average) using BP Ultimate 98.
Highway i get about 8-9's.

Yes I drive it like a Liberty should be driven...

Yesterday I got my best ever result, I got 7.2 going from Berwick to Sunshine and the return trip I got 7.8.

I also had refuelled right next to a freeway entrance and then flicked it to I Mode and left the cruise control on.

Very happy with that.

14.6 is exactly what I get week in, week out, totally city driving with an itchy right foot, using BP ultimate. The best I've ever got in a country run has been high 9's but usually 10 flat.

BTW, I just noticed that the gap between Ultimate and Regular Unleaded at BP is now out to 13¢/litre. Last time I checked it was 11¢. Wankers.

I know it sounds bad (14.6 and all) but hey it's a fun ride!
I bought a Liberty not a Barina.
Just wish work was paying for it and not out of my own pocket.

14.6 is about usual for me too. My right foot can better that... but it's disobedient

If I get 400 from a tank I'm happy.

it really does depend what ECU settings you are drive in.

big mileage out of the "I" settings .

"I" setting via the human interface at the wheel on my baby!... (although my better half would contest that).

500+ k's out of a tank. Mix of freeway, short trips and quite a few hard corners.

Hi Fellas,
I have done about 30000 kms in my MY06 now. I have averaged about 11.5 over these kms.

I'm a peak hour city driver and usually get 13-14l / 100km on the way to work (stop start traffic). I get the overall average down with the freeway driving I do during the day when there is no traffic.

The car has been great over the time I've had it but im moving onto a Lexus IS250 in a few days. Hopefully the consumption is better but I will have 23kw less :(

Fellas,

Please note: highyway driving only!!

Using single tank of BP Ultimate got me from Ballina to Sydney stopping over in Port Macquarie for lunch (about 750km's ++ ). Cruise control and 'I' mode! Very impressed!! :D

My recent 36,000km average has stood at 14.6, with a lot of hard city and peak hour driving with plenty of traffic light blasts along the way.

Over the past week I decided to see just how low I could get using an ultra conservative driving style... sixth where appropriate, revs kept within the lower half, soft braking, no green light run-offs etc.

It was all Brisbane city driving, with relatively open 60kph roads and one run along the freeway, not my usual run all over the city with my previous 70,000km.

The average over 380km = 13.0l/100km. Just filled up again and drove as usual. 13.6l/100km.

I've been on Caltex Votex 95 for some time now after doing around 15,000 on Vortex 98 / Ultimate 98. Fuel consumption was no better, so I now run the 95, with no real loss in performance.

It is something to consider, given that driving behavior appears to have limited influence.

Tuned for 98?
