If your Macintosh head unit has the AUX in then you will either have an aux jack in the centre console cubby, between the front seats. If you don't, as it was an option, one can be bought for $125 from Subaru or $155 installed. Not sure what you're talking about with regards the touch screen.

iPod connectivity. Many options available and best to check the audio section of the forum.

I personally went for the easiest I reckon and that is the Belkin aircast. Google or eBay them and you'll see what it is. Cost me $55 delivered. Even cheaper if your prepared to buy it from overseas.

No idea on the touch screen. Hopefully someone else will chime in to help you out.

There is no direct ipod connection for the 09 3.0R-B. None that will allow you to control the ipod through the headunit.

Only option is to get a FM modulator such as the Belkin Aircast or use a 3.5mm cable to connect to the 3.5mm aux in (if fitted).

Both those options will need the ipod to be controlled from the ipod with volume control from the headunit only.

As for the touch screen, it's mainly a GPS, however I've seen it display gauges and other information. Some have also connected a video input however this requires the handbrake hack to enable it while driving.

There are units you can buy to plug in and charge your ipod and control it from the head unit/steering wheel. You need to shop carefully as different units are compatible with different model ipods and head units and whether you have sat nav or not. I think all facelift Spec Bs have the McIntosh head unit with the 3.5mm aux in jack which might be good enough.
