3.0R .B congested in wet weather

Hi folks,

hope this isn't a regular post. Did search beforehand with no luck.

I tend to drive my stock 08 3.0R .B Liberty around the city in economode (Intelli-whatever) saving the go fast switch for when I need it. Under normal circumstances, it's all good. A bit gutless and not keen to rev, but it moves the car around like it needs to in traffic.

However, I can't shake the feeling that when it moistens up outside, the engine feels like it's congested and really can't breathe all that well. Is this a common thing? Do I need to get Subaru to look at it? Or is it a case of TADTS? Is there a fix?

Are the 3.0R .B's known for the intake being a bit constricted? Is there a reasonably priced solution to let it breathe a bit easier and is the ECU capable of dealing with it / learning how to deal with it?

do you use 95 or 98 RON fuel...?

warm moist air does not combust that well, and will effect performance.

is it due for air filters? moisture could be clogging with dust in the filter and making it hard to breathe

Thanks Rob,

always 98 and it was C serviced in September.

In fact, now I think of it, it does seem to have been a little more 'miss-y' since.

check over everything for vacuum hoses pulled off, etc
