where is the 2.5" option?!

Postby Scyance » Thu Oct 20, 2011 12:32 pm

The first mod on my agenda for my recently aquired 3.0R is replacing the mid section and cats of the exhaust.
A call to my old boss reveals that the x-force system is only available as a complete unit, and in 2.25" or 3" only.
As a fairly revvy 3.0, I would normally choose a 2.5" system, as to me 3" is a bit overkill. But then the 2.25" one seems too small for this sort of engine.

What do I do short of having the center section custom made?

Go to an exhaust shop, have a centre section made up for 2-400 dollars in whatever size you like?

Add more power than anything else?
Factory cats and resonator suck. The factory mufflers and manifolds however are excellent.
