Hey all,

Has anyone had experience doing this mod?

Firstly, will it fit, and is the wagon the same as sedan in shape?

yes it will fit.

Cold air intake would be difficult considering you would have to separate the air and water situation.

no use doing a CAI up there
it's actually a MUCH lower air-pressure zone than the front of the car (just below the headlights is the area of highest air pressure on a car)
the tried and proven method of CAI in behind the fog-light/ under the headlight is the only way to go.

you'll end up with leaves and bugs and sh!t filling your CAI if you do it up there.
anyone that's owned a turbo soobie with a TMIC on it can attest to how much junk builds up on the intercooler.

Not to mention heat soak from being on top of the engine

i dont mean to sound rude, but like you i have the same model but in a wagon.

i wouldnt recommend getting a gt bonnet as you dont have a turbo. i would, on the other hand, recommend getting an outback bonnet with the buldge in it, looks nicer

Thats whats so good about it, very subtle and suits the car 110% flows nicely. they should have given the outback bonnet to us

Gonna go out on a limb and guess the original post wasn't specifically referring to putting a cold air intake up near the bonnet scoop...he just wanted that for looks

Still doesn't specifically say he wants to mount it up there, maybe he wants to buy the bonnet before he spends the money on the custom CAI?

doesn't look like it has been answered yet: Yes, the wagon bonnet is the same as the sedan. All Gen 4 liberty bonnets will fit an n/a Gen 4 Liberty regardless of the year.

And let's drop the discussion of whether or not anyone should do this mod. It has been discussed ad nauseum and there is nothing new to be added to the aesthetic debate.
