Hey Lads

Tyres are due soon so im looking for some advice.

Currently got 215/45R18 RE050A Bridgstones. (Stock 3.0RB 18" rimm)

Now can i fit a 225/45?

Im looking at Tyrerack for some options and have narrowed down the brands.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSearc ... iameter=18

Should i stick with the bridgstones?? or go for an alternative? Generally want a tyre that will last me in the long run with everyday driving, and am not too sure why there are such substantial price differences.

Cheers :)

Yuo need at least a 7.5" rim to fit the 225's.

Michelin PS3 has a minimum width specification of 7" for that size.

-edit-
OP, that size will likely be cheaper and have more options available. It will also improve the accuracy of your speedo. Go for it. Others have done it without issue

I currently have 225/45R18 tyres without issues, previous owner had them fitted. They actually offer a lower % speedo error than 225/40R18
