Hey guys,

I know this has probably been talked about quite allot but does anyone know where you can buy extractors off the shelf??

If not my 2nd option would probably be to make some so if anyone would have the stock manifold that they don’t need it would be of great use to me

And if anyone would be interested in buying a set if I do end up making some let me know it’s not a guaranteed thing yet jut an idea at this stage

I'd be interested in a set sometime in near future. Would love to see them built. Perhaps uel? Would be interesting on a h6.

Didn't weld them up as well as they should have though - leaks

They look very very basic to me . Tuned headers require equal length primary pipes all I can see is 3 different lengths on each side


Here s what they should look like

they're pretty basic for sure but following the route all 3 pipes on each side take it is evident that they tried to get as even length as possible. Not elegant, but they achieved it as well as the nicer looking example you provided a pic of

the top ones are equal length. look at them properly
and i'd take the "basic" ones over those ss ones any day.

the s/s ones have very short runners before merging into one pipe
this would create back-pressure in the system

the longer runners of the top ones would allow the gasses to cool more effectively before merging into smaller pipe

but the s/s ones would be designed to bolt directly to a factory setup with twin cats
diffferent designs for different purposes

the ones i would make would be a direct bolt on style to a h6 ( i have a 2007 6speed specb i assume the older models should be the same) they would have all pipes equal and they would be made out of that aluminium plated mild still that most exhausts are made from.

i was also thinking of the uel ones as well but the main reason im considering theses is to get that little bit more power i know its not much but hey every little bit helps and i quite like the h6 sound as i already have new mufflers and a bigger resonater on it, also i have a 92 libety n/a with uel headders on it so i have them boxer rumble already hahah

i will probobly make a jig of some sort to weld them up on so that they are identical to the stock ones with length and hight etc.. and also it will help by making a jig that when welding the flanges so that they will not warp so they will fit easily, also i would be making the jig so i can preasure test them (put air in them then put them under water to test for leaks) i would consider wrapping them and will probably put high flow cats in aswell.

so if anyone still has there stock manifold that they are no longer using and wouldnt mind parting with them they could be of great use to me as this would be a easier option then removing mine.

to the guys who already have extractors what diamiter piping have you used?? i was considering 1.5" into twin 2" then to the stock 2.25"

If successful with this would you plan a group buy for the H6 guys.

i also have plans for a stainless intake pipe from the airbox to the throttle body, just to ad a nice touch to the bay and that little bit more flow without having to play arround in the guard

vehicle will need the MAF re-scaled if you change the intake.
or the AFR's will be all over the place.
but a worthy mod non the less.
