Rear diff and crown wheel

I´m looking for a LSD for the rear. Now i have good offer from Quaife. But they only have the rear unit for WRX/Impreza/Legacy until 2000. Now i have found in a German forum that some guys have this installed in the newer WRX.
The axles i think are not that problem, the wrx LSD are used in the legacy 2.0 GT and this has the same axles like the 3.0R-B, so the axles should fit into the Quaife. So i think this will fit in all R160, but what about the crown wheel . Have the crown wheel of the legacy and wrx (until 2005) the same bolt circle and points as the crownwheel from a 3.0R-B, so that they are compatible?

At the speeds you traveling your car is predominantly a FWD .I take it you will be doing a lot of reversing and rock-hopping and that's why you need a rear LSD ?

You Lib is very capable on snow covered roads driver skill is more important than what you drive. If you are serious and will be doing a lot of "snow" driving look for a set of aggressive snow tyers . Such as http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php? ... 9624&rs=gb you could order them now and sea freight as you have plenty of time
before you will need them. Unlike me I need a set in the next 3 weeks

to tell some one, who you never have seen in practice, something about his skills is not the kind of buddha wisdom that i thouht, but maybe the one of the western world. thank you for your detailed help in this question.

The whole range of Subaru's are a compromise when driving in snow/ice conditions the bias of power to the front is a pig so I can see no reason that a LTD rear will help can you ?? Front and rear LSD in real 4x4 are the ducks nuts in slippery conditions.

Did you ever fit that supercharger

I drive a Kizashi so what would I know

Im interested in what a LSD in the rear will achieve in a front wheel drive car wouldn't it be better to look at LSD front and rear?

So i installed a quaife in front and rear without trouble - great driving.
The sc takes time because of local restrictions with exhaust gases and noise level and maybe i have to update my brakes. That all costs a lot of money, so i have to go step by step, i hope that i will have my "perfect" legy 3.0 in 6 month.

my question was about the rear one, because i was not sure if it will fit. the front one will fit naturaly, because you choose the sti one (and the leggy has a sti transmission). the rear one was just in theorie, because axle and and differential case is the same as the legacy gt20 and this one has the same lsd as the impreza wrx and quaife just offer a rear lsd for the wrx (r160).

why bother trying to fit a LSD from another car when you can but the right LSD made for your car in many different configurations
