We don’t mass produce the twin turbo kit for 3RB’s at this point in time as we haven’t found an economic way to achieve a desired result as many parts need modification or relocation to make the kit work.

Here’s a quick rundown of our stage 3 kit:

Stage Three – H6 Pulse Twin Turbo – not for the light hearted – $19,000 to $20,000 which results in 290 to 300KwATW including,

The removal of the standard exhaust system & custom fabrication of complete exhaust system with two up-pipes.

Fitment, design & placement of the two new TD04 turbos.

Fabrication of coolant and oil feeds to turbos, removed sump & fabrication of two oil drain line for turbos.

Removal of fuel sender and replace with high volume Walbro 550Hp fuel pump.

Upgraded fuel system & replace injectors, modify fuel rails to allow more fuel flow.

Removal of the front bumper bar & fitment of a custom front mount intercooler.

Fabrication of all intake piping to & from turbos & back into Intake manifold.

Fabrication of a cold air intake & air box.

Fitment of a boost control system to allow full boost control and provision for driver adjustable high/low boost setting.

Removal of gearbox & replacement of clutch with high performance unit to suit twin turbo set up.

Reposition battery to boot & securely mount in battery box. Re-route wiring to boot.

Fabricate new air-conditioning plumbing to suit twin turbo set up & re-gas air-conditioning system.

Pulse Edit ECU tune which is a complete Custom Dyno Tune carried out by re-flashing your standard ECU and making it fully programmable. This is the only guaranteed way to get the most reliable power/ torque there is out of the engine to suit the new twin turbo upgrade. We tune from full power to cruise & everywhere in between, modifying fuel, ignition, boost, VVT, throttle mapping and many other engine control parameters.

With our twin turbo set up we would transform your stock H6 from a lazy 135KwATW vehicle to a 280 to 300KwATW fire breathing monster! The twin turbo kit is based around a stock engine and is designed to deliver maximum reliability as well as awesome power, torque and driveability.

The drive in/drive-out time is 3-4 weeks and the gearbox does not need to be upgraded.

Yeah, I believe that.

Hey now. If it's on the Pulse dyno, a reliable 500kw atw is achieveable!

From what I've read on the forum the Pulse dyno tends to give false reading. Im not sure on the exact factor that it over reads by, but i've heard that the pulse one would say 300kW where as at another dyno it would show 250kW or something. Not sure on the exact numbers but yea.

Thats a lot of money for VERY little.

PS its a timebomb.

PPS ever seen the bore thickness in an EZ30r?

PPS 300kw atw in a 6banger is 200kw atw in an EJ25 in regards to per piston loading....The exact point the pistons like to depart company with the top ringlands.

PPPS 300kw atw in a 6banger is 50kwatw per cyl, the bores in an EJ25 non closed deck split at that point fairly commonly.

Good luck kids.

thanks for the input kid

By that, I'm assuming you actually have no idea of the insides on an ez30r and why the stock setup is absolutely not even close to capable of supporting that sort of power.

For what its worth there is a gt4088r on a semi closed deck ez30r with forged internals in my family, dont know about you?

"Or something" - What!? C'mon jimbo! thats just piss bloody poor mate! Sorry, no offence intended but, what you've "heard" on the 'grapevine' is plain and simply untrue and defamatory!... The new 4 wheel Pulse Dyno is reasonably accurate, even if there is some variation in calibration between independent dynos it isn't as much as 50KW!!! The percentage variation is negligable and heavily dependant on ambient and intake temps.
Besides, the very same people (without mentioning names) who spread the seed of these rumours have only returned to Pulse in recent times for a retune!!???? Bloody forum bashers!
So, 300Kw not to mention whiplash inducing torque, is achievable and reliably so - my car is testimony to this. I have driven the car hard without fail every single outing since turbocharging and it hasn't flinched since. this is at turbo Psi of 8psi mostly with an occasional 10psi burst. If you want real 'piece of mind' reliability and higher Psi  then I hear there are now reasonably priced forged internals available 'off the shelf' for the EZ30R engine and Pulse will seal the deck for you. At the end of the day the stock EZ30R is strong enough upto ~ 10psi, as long as there's good engine management - Pulse know this formula well.
Though I didn't pay that kinda money for the basic kit being that my vehicle was a R&D exercise, I'll say this: If you've got the cash don't listen to the neh sayers, just do it, you'll never look back! Just be prepared to upgrade the stock clutch sooner than expected

None taken. I haven't 'heard' anything through the grapevine. My knowledge is through first hand experience with the people who have experienced these 'discrepancies', myself included. It's always been consistent, so I have every right to my opinion (even if it is a bit exaggerated sarcasm). People are grown adults and can make up their own minds.

Does that include the incident with your car at the track?

I wouldn't worry too much. I'm sure the only thing holding people back are the funds to do this, not the fact that a few people on a forum made sarcastic remarks about the higher than other places dyno readings.

True, especially when it comes to where to spend their money, but they are always open to influence. Forthwith, I hope you have proof of these discrepancies, because making such claims against an active and established business and its product is a legally risky affair indeed. Pulse might have been a bit too small to take such claims seriously in the past, but they are a bigger and growing business now and would likely take any real or postulated loss of income from these claims quite seriously. On the other hand, if it transpires that they really are guilty of this in the past, knowingly or otherwise, then disregard all I have said thus far and I join you in your abject disgust...
However, I can confirm that my car, with the prototype TT kit, does reliably on repeated pulls produce in excess of 285Kw ATW with high octane fuel.

Arith wrote:Does that include the incident with your car at the track?

Yes it does actually from an engine management point of view the car performed flawlessly, the tracks times are testimony to this. The track incident was unrelated to this and was simply due to lack of heat insulation for the exhaust up pipes - there was only minor damage (one wiring loom replaced by PULSE) it was all part of the R&D exercise culminating now in the finalised TT kit.

If you've got the cash don't listen to the neh sayers, just do it, you'll never look back!

Yes this is probably true, its a shame they couldn't get the cost down more. Unfortunately, 6months worth of product R&D, over-engineering and good quality components never = cheap. :(
Finally, I've gotta say though, some cold clinical numbers on a dyno chart to frame in ya garage/office is one thing, barely managing to hold onto the steering wheel while driving a flat 6 with two turbos strapped onto it is another

So now Pulse are ready and willing to bully people over comments made about a bullshit figure. Understand this, the figure you get from a dyno means nothing without direct reference (i.e. the power that car made previously on the same dyno under the same conditions). You're not doing Pulse any favours with your current tack of argument so I suggest you let it drop.

Arith is not the only member on this forum who has seen cars on other dynos pull numbers significantly lower than they did on Pulse's dyno. I am another. I will not name names because the owners of those cars (and dyno operators) IMO do not deserve to be pulled into the fight you are trying to pick. Pulse has a reputation for a high reading dyno. Big deal, other dynos around the place read low. It is not the figure that the dyno spits out that matters (though many like to see a big number) - it is the way the car drives, the improvement from before and how safe the tune is.

Let it lie please

So its likely true then for some people at least, well then letting it lie, I still think there's more emotion than fact in those claims though, plus like I said in my original post ambient and intake temps have a lot to do with what a dyno will spit out and its upto the tuner to control that at the time... But, know this: I'm a private entity and a faithful customer and in no way represent pulse... And bullying this isn't at least not intentionally, just stating observations. I can also confirm that the Dyno readings of 290Kw have indeed been 'referenced' with repeated pulls in matched ambient conditions.
Also its not a "fight" or at least I don't see it that way and I know jimbo doesn't, simply a well mannered bit of to and fro argument amongst friends.
And I agree with you completely Dyno figures are not what its about and I too don't understand why its such a big deal... Exactly the point I made at the end of my last reply too!
