I have never noticed the boxer diesel badge, freakin now you got me looking. If true thats the funniest thing ever!

Its a stunning show alright - Tommi had a couple of engine builds before he hit gold with this one, its all in his thread.

How about the lightning fast gear shifts in the next vid lol

And what does your V12 Gen3 look like then when it hits the quarter?

Probably 13s at 140? Maybe a 10, does have a built th400 and 9" IRS. Quarter timea not important when it was specifically built to be nothing but a burnout pig and sound good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6BAURw-PJVM&sns=em

H6 turbo from qld from over 5 years ago still churning out well over 400kw though. So demoboss should not have any issues if it's built right. Thing was just cp pistons/Argo Rods and valve springs with a welded semi close deck job. We all look forward to seeing another genuinely fast ez30 build, because god damn they're amazing. Keep it up.

Tommi says he has done over 100 low 12 sec passes with his Rotrex Legacy. Also done a lot of road km too, but not sure how much inside engine is stock

I am very sorry to hear about your niece, that is a horrible thing especially for a child to endure.

Really interesting to hear from the "other side" of the story. Because let's be honest it's pretty 1 sided when it comes to NSW on this forum. I noticed a whole heap of hate coming from the NSW guys on your car and I couldn't understand why.
If it's any consolation to you, I always loved to watch that video of your test runs down that open street every couple of months, that you posted to youtube.
I for one appreciate the work you have done on your car and venturing in to new territory. I would never be able to do something like that, so well done! Keep us updated with how you go :D

Well the weather and circumstances finally prevailed and we made it to the strip. But, despite the moonshine and the tune up on higher boost we ended up chasing our tail, as we just couldn't get the launches required to get the 11second times the car is clearly capable of. Nevertheless the benchmark is set for this vehicle now @ 12.2Seconds and 118Mph, before we pull the engine out and rebuild it. So subscribe to my channel if you like and watch out for when we return to WSID with the built engine and higher boost.
Here's the video of our latest efforts, enjoy:

118mph is not at the power levels you claim with the weight of a gen4 but on the stock block 118mph is awesome :P . But thats irrelevent as you're out having a proper crack. Shame to not see an 11 as it should be capable with 118mph if you get it moving. I would not be worried about breaking anything except 3rd or 4th gear if you are rough as guts on the clutch. Im all more than happy to drop 6000rpm into first in my wags knowing how cheap a gearbox is even if it did break.

Why cant you get it off the line? 5000rpm, ease clutch on handbrake, drop handbrake down and driveline is fully engaged with no slack. H6 should easily pull a 1.7 60ft with that torque. Bet the rest of the run you're scorching along nicely with a big smile 8)

What tyres, wheels and tyre pressures? You'll get it moving a shitload nicer with the front and rear swaybars disconnected (just undo a link on one side of each and let them hang loose) and drop tyre pressures to in the mid-high 20's.

Also just saying, 336.2kw atw should be at the absolute minimum 125mph. Regardless of launch doc. And the vid shows nothing to indicate low mph like a missed gear etc.

335kw in a 1520kg full weight gen2 with driver did 129mph. 400kw in a 1400kg GC is doing 135's, and a 210kw atw 07 sti at around 1500kg was 118mph. So you're losing a lot of power on the track somehow, logged any of it for Paul to look over? Definitely something fishy he needs to work out for you.

Thanks for the info and comparable stats from other gens and different weights Kiks :) . Will look into it for sure but I'm not so sure dyno figures we obtained last year with fresh fuel at the time, translates well to anything we were expecting from it last week but yes there is definitely an obvious discrepancy here :dntknw: . As afore mentioned, launches were an issue and Paul did all of the driving (I had anniversary date with missus   ) so he was pretty gutted not to be able to achieve higher speeds and better times. I'll be doing most the driving next thats for damn sure
In the scheme of things though, these figures are merely a preamble to the real big deal figures after the engine gets built, so we won't be dwelling on these ones too much...

The Tommi Subaru with Rotrex centrigual SC (@ and 3.6 liter - 8.7psi) Quatermile: 12.1sec / 182kmh

You can see we are at a bit of a disadvantage to beat that time with a 3.0 even at 13psi.

Maybe we need more cubes in Australia :D

Lets get some capacity happening and run these Swedes down lol
