That sounds awesome Tim. Would love to hear a sound clip when possible. I'm always concerned about the risk of annoying drone on long drives.

I am certain that if I like it you will like it, I am fussy as I HATE drone with a passion. Every exhaust technician should make it there lifes goal to make drone free systems, cant be that hard. I had an AU Falcon ute 6cyl 4.0 with 3" exhaust, it was both very quiet on cruise and very powerful and gave good should at WOT.

Tim are you taking orders for auto headers now or just EOI?

If you exhaust (pun not intended) your initial supply of auto headers, how long will it be until you can produce another batch?

Seg

Yes, I am taking ORDERS for them.

I cant say how long until next batch, the special collectors are on back order already and have no clue about how long it will take that supplier to produce more. We bought the entire stock of collectors and triggered the back order, could be 2 weeks ..... could be longer

Tim,

Am interested as one of my future mods, but have other priorities right now, so cannot commit. Love the idea of the extractors combined with high flow cats as it may liberate some more of the sc kit potential.

If I do both, what piping diameter should I consider from the cats back? Do I keep the Y section or consider dual piping all the way to the rear mufflers?

MH

I will bring that info to you in a couple of days now that we have a local car with modded exhaust from front to back

The owner of the Lib we fitted up today has already emailed me with a very positive report on all aspects of his new system

Reported - very pleasing tone, no drone and noticing a power improvement of significance

Thanks Tim,

As I said, the extractors are back on my list but will need to pretty much the whole exhaust in one hit. But I am not going to do any more until the auto trans is completed and have had a new tune / dyno to lock in the improvement.

MH

Understand, did you check if your tuner has used the methods we discussed a little while ago, I found a link on a USA forum about ECU values that can be changed to assist a lot, XRT knows about it too and implements same tune improvements to make auto shift like it should

yes a full system with cats is what you would do, same for me now, everything from extractors to the back bumper needs upgrading.

Yesterdays customer says the time to get to 120 is greatly reduced, we hope to sometime in the next few weeks measure this performance and then load up an optimised header tune from XRT and measure again the total gain. This car like BJs has all the exhaust fruit in place and should give best possible gains

Hey Tim,

I spent an hour or so lastnight going through this thread, first of all, big thanks for the efforts put in to this project. I could imagion it would be nice to see that the blood, sweat and beers have payed off. Ill get to the point, i want to express interest in the auto header/extractors and ask a question or two.

Desired outcome: Want a bit more power (without effecting fuel consumption) with a tiny bit more noise, Not neighbour waking loud but not stock quite. The aim is to get the parts (extractors, mufflers and cats) and then get a zaust place to swap it all over.

Im guessing i should be looking round at STI mufflers for this?
Keep the stock zaust but replace cats with hi-flow cats?
Where could i source these cats form? (i asked pet barn but they dont have any  )
Is there an ETA for Auto extractors?

Thanks
Tim

I am also extremely interested in the auto extractors however out of pure selfishness, unless there's a good financial incentive to do so, I don't intend to be the first auto guinea pig :-)

As I mentioned earlier in our other big thread, I usually find out that I am selling at cost on a new product once I get it out the door as I have underestimated the production cost. Then the price is raised to cover the shortfall, the early adopters are always the winners with my stuff, no exceptions thus far. Anyone who has purchased our stuff knows that is for sure
