...whats in the Spec B is identical in either the turbo or 6

there is room for improvement with the body roll in the wagon i agree...

cant comment on the sedan

Stock sways are like tooth picks on Spec B's for a start and are hollow and not very effective.

totally agree... im presuming the STI has a 20mm" ??

not on mine anymore, had heavy duty adj whiteline sways installed and new wheel alignment with some neg camber in front. It transformed the car's handling for under $500!

Chriskan, first thing I did was a Cusco rear sway and it makes a hell of a difference.

From my install no increase in NVH at all, just added handling performance cornering.

Sweet Trieu. I got the sways sitting in my garage anyway, front and rear :) Waiting for my S-techs to arrive before fitting, but was just wondering!!

NVH refers to noise/vibration/harshness factors.

S-techs are springs for your suspension from the company Tein.

The deciding factor for me was the Mrs. Being Japanese she hasn't driven a manual in 20yrs. She drove my GenIII GTB Legacy in Japan and hopped it round like a kangaroo. When we came back here and looked at GenIVs the 3.0 with the auto was a better option than the 2.5 as living in the mountains the 2.5 auto would be hunting more than a redneck on speed. Also being semi-auto I can get in it and still have some fun.

Oh and did I say handling! :D The 3RB is a real sleeper!

I think it was MY07 that they changed to barge-arse seats. The MY06 was same as MY04/MY05 and I agree they were fantastic. After the MY05 RB and the WRX STi these MY07 seats kinda suck.

My RB 6 speed STi box was OK until 6th gear died. Never had any probs with the WRX STi one though, and the one in the Liberty STi seems fine, but not as notchy (and I liked notchy) as the WRX. I seem to crunch it into 4th occassionally as well - doesn't seem quite as quick to shift as the WRX one was.

The handling was good. - I loved the weight distribution of the wagon - a bit better than the sedan and made it a good jigger. But the WRX was loads better.

For me the RB was about a good cruiser that looked the goods as well. The 18's were schmick - those and the 6 speed box made it the choice for me over the 2.0GT at the time. And boy it was quiet. You could barely tell the thing was running when it was idling. I'm quite surprised how noisy the LibSTi is at idle - although that might be due to the resonatorectomy and the HKS filter.

Handling ? Stock suspension is mushy as and prone to excessive body and the dreaded under steer roll if you ask me and yes I have driven the 3RB.

Fair call actually. I have Whiteline sways in the RB Wagon.... not fair is it? :)
