INTERESTING- Same problem for all NA 2.5 liter Subaru Impreza since 2001 also

Our supercharger kit install instructions mention keeping tank above half full for all later model 2.0 and 2.5 liter Impreza

Now I know to expect same from Liberty

It does seem the problem doesnt exist with WRX or STI, is that correct??

All 2.5 ers are recommended to change thier fuel pumps to the ones in 3.0r (don't remmember the capacity :)) I know one guy replaced his 2.5 fuel pump and felt a good difference. And YES, it's an issue, aggressive driving can't be optimum when fuel level is under 20% I would say. 30-40% is the best.

Saffarco

It is a suggestion from me that you should begin the tuning process in NA form as soon as you are ready. XTR has completed the one Ali has and Ali is now familiar with how the tune uploading and logging works

If you are ready to prepare for SC, this is how you start. PM XTR and he will show you the way anytime you are ready

Mohammed is completed, but we are performing a little Edge Tuning for response while we wait on stuff. The characteristics of the 2009 Legacy 3.0R seems a little different in the Automatic form :)

He is happy with the changes, including another friend of his. Hopefully I can complete all data for posting. I am looking for consistencies.

My from my experience, all of them have it. Every single Subaru I have driving, keeping fuel above 3/4 is good. The lower you get, the more pinging you have. I think is due to the fuel pickup of the pump in the tank. A good upgrade is the STI pump for the 2.0/2.5 persons or the Walbro/Sard ones. I run the Walbro for flow, but still have that fuel level issue. the best setup is some catch system to prevent fuel starvation during acceleration and turning.

it was a pleasure working with Edward

at first i thought NA tuning will just be useless, i thought if there will be any difference it will just be there without me noticing

from V0 oh my god with all that pining around and responce i was just smilling and the experience of driving my car was a pleasure

i ended up with V4 wondering why factory tuning was that bad

car response and idle very fast throw the gears

i used to record 0-160 times just for fun and reference since i got the car from factory

so i said why not trying to record one for current tuning

i just did with V5 which i just uploaded and guess what ?

there was a hole second and a half dropped in time

car must learn and am sure it will get better

you just cant believe it untill you see it.

now preparing for SC tuning and i feel my car is in the right hand

thank you very much Edward

you need to rest now coz damn when you got to sleep!!! :D

That is a VERY good result

Significantly better than my car but thats how it goes -from car to car and from petrol to petrol the results will vary

You picked up OVER 20Kw!!!!! Now that is a LOT on an NA tune with standard parts on the rest of the vehicle apart from cat back

It was a pleasure!!!! Taking a break from tuning boosted cars. Your car was the first auto to behave strange. Almost so manual like, but the effort was worth it. I could have ended at v0.

Enjoy your car to the best.

has anyone watched a fuel pressure gauge with low fuel in the tank to see how it reacts?

Ok. Taking a little time out to work on a few 3R's while in work on a modded STI here changing over to speed density using the CarBerry ROM. Car Drag races (welll illegally :))

@west_minist
ist the speed density stuff something for the H6 (and sc) too?
Carberry is 16bit, but it seems that sd is possible for the 32bit too.

A site with someone who can/will port ROMs for evry Subaru for speed density http://www.igotasti.com/vBforum/printthread.php?t=2624&pp=40&page=3 - are there significant advances from speed density maybe for sc the car?

Well to be honest, so far, the MAF is good. So no need to change.
