As stated before as long as it has been serviced properly and on time etc then there shouldnt be any problems, especially at only 190k.

The other thing about a spare engine is you dont know how its been treated/serviced etc or how long its been out of the car for whether its been stored properly and all those things. Might actually turn out worse than the current engine, even with lower km.

Plus the costs involved with getting the new engine installed and running, depending on what ancilliaries it comes with etc. (unless you know someone who can do all of that at mates rates or less)

yeah thanks for the information mate
i know i probably seem stupid, but im not really that paranoid, all i wanted to know was how much a spare would be,
because way down the future when my engine may fail (way way down the track) i have an idea of what it would cost :)
and now everyone on this forum could get an idea of how much one is as well if they do a decent search :)

Why do you want to locate a spare?

They are readily available at any time quite easily, and there is plenty coming in, or available to come in.

Not magic wonder engine, just h6 dak dak engine

i dnt understand what your talking about with the service intervals?

He means if you drive the car sedately, you can have long service intervals.
If you're treating it like a race-car, you need to shorten the intervals.

If you're still looking for a motor, I'm in the process of taking mine out of my car. It has around 76k kms on it. Let me know through PM.

Nothing. Had an unfortunate accident in the car. It became a repairable write off. I bought it back from insurance to play around with it and explore the ins and outs. Was also going to see if I could strip it, cage it, and have it as a race car but if someone wants parts (or the whole wreck) then they will be sold.
It will be put onto the forum in the For Sale section in the next couple of days for EOI.
