If the man says it ran 12.2, I don't need to see any slips. What was the trap speed?

As for stressed and unstressed dynos, perhaps it had a few drinks beforehand.

12.2 @ 116Mph or 186Km/H

With this kinda weather in Sydney dunno when we gonna get to do the moonshine 1/4mile...

This probably goes quicker (definitely a LOT more powerful) than that fancy build done by a big name company in the USA, whoever they were. Was it Perrin, they had something like 340hp at tyre.

Anyone know what happened to it

I see it was sold - did next owner have luck with it or is it long dead?

Yah the Perrin build was great! & the inspiration for mine. But, couldn't see the point of doing an Impreza, It was far more cost effective to do it in a vehicle with the H6 engine native...
She was making 440Whp at a mere 16Psi boost off a GT35r according to the vid:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Ej_UbedvMY&list=FL0z1JrtYm4-S6mTKowCoEPQ&index=54&feature=plpp_video
Dunno what the timing of that figure vs the figure quoted on the Nasioc write up but all the same its pretty damn impressive!! I'd be more than happy if mine even approached 500Whp with decent reliability.

I believe the Perrin vehicle still exists but very much under the radar now apparently...

so in other words, to chase big numbers out of the H6, you have to increase strength in the internals such as forged pistons, forged rods, springs, valves, crank.

what else? and tuning and a good reliable turbo!

jeremy, do you use yours as a daily driver?

Add 3 engine builds into that as well.

I truly hope your build comes off on the first go and exceed expectations - the Perrin 3 build would break heart and wallet, thats the way bad luck goes ..... its never planned or needed

Havn't done the moonshine run yet! :) Sydney weather has NOT been permitting. 12.2seconds was with 98octane.

Yes most of the above + a cool head and an abject lack of impatience.
And yes its been a daily driver on and off now for 40K+ post biturbo, on stock internals - no issues.

Thanks mate. I hope so too thats why I havn't rushed it. Hopefully we've learned enough from Perrin's and others' build mistakes. If not and it all goes pair shaped & expensive then I'll just have to pull the plug on the whole thing and be happy with low boost and stock internals. I have a family and kids to support, so overcapitalising on 5yr old vehicle is just not in my ballpark for at least the next 2 decades... Unless I win the lotto

Jeremy, I hope this is ok to ask.

Why has your car had so many rumours about it on these forums? In regards to some major problems etc. Even PHAT GT just mentioned yesterday something along those lines about it.
PHAT GT wrote: im just pointing out possible problems just like i did when Paul at Pulse build that twin turbo lib but he didnt listen and some of us know what happened to that

Is this something that happened a long time ago, or in the last year or so? I remember when I joined you used to post a little, then you went quiet and now you are back again. Is that coincidence or did something happen to the car?

Again, you don't have to answer this so just ignore it if you want to.

Hmmm yes I can see where people might draw those conclusions based on those observations.
All I can say is industrial sabotage within the forums between competing tuners/vendors is rife all over the planet and unfortunately my car has been a subject for same. I'm from London and also have tuning contacts there, who I keep close, and the same shit goes down there too. Its chronic and its pretty pathetic really.
The reason I've been on and off these forums has nothing to do with the car - it has performed flawlessly day in day out. But, unfortunately Paul's competition have made much fuss (much more to my dismay than Paul's) about some gearbox soundproofing that started to smoulder on a 40degree track day just before Oran Park closed down. We replaced the charred wiring loom, heat proofed and ceramic coated the exhaust turbo up and down pipes and the issue was solved. It was a silly miscalculation to track the damn thing on a 40 degree day without sorting the behind engine temps 1st - it wasn't just Phat that pointed this out (though likely in hindsight for him cuz he never bloody mentioned it to me beforehand  ) so did my brother and I within the first 5 mins of driving the car post 'charging - a relatively inexpensive lesson learned admittedly the hard way...
But thats it nothing else happened the car has been wonderful and has ferried me at great speed, up and down NSW wherever my career takes me without missing a beat. Which to me is testimony to Paul's superlative tuning expertise.

The main reason that I've been on and off the forums is to do with my intermittently hectic career and other interests.

Also, my 4yr old niece was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour last year she took up the fight and she still lives after radioRx but the fact reamins that she is terminal. So, long silences and the H6 Biturbo build being sidelined is mainly because with all that going on, I just don't have the mental energy to push Paul the Tortoise (an endearing and useful quality I might add) and deal with the at times cowardly and frankly unpleasant reception I get from some this forum's members just because I happen to own a prototypical vehicle that has brought Paul and Pulse Racing much notoriety, by and large for the better...

Thanks Jeremy for the very candid insight in to the goings on of your vehicle.
I am very sorry to hear about your niece, that is a horrible thing especially for a child to endure.

Really interesting to hear from the "other side" of the story. Because let's be honest it's pretty 1 sided when it comes to NSW on this forum. I noticed a whole heap of hate coming from the NSW guys on your car and I couldn't understand why.
If it's any consolation to you, I always loved to watch that video of your test runs down that open street every couple of months, that you posted to youtube.
I for one appreciate the work you have done on your car and venturing in to new territory. I would never be able to do something like that, so well done! Keep us updated with how you go :D
