I've had it done and I fully recommend it. You get more power, higher revs, and better fuel economy. The best my car would do previously on a long trip was 8.8 to 9.0 l/100km, but after the tune on a trip to Sydney it did 8.4. And you have more power and 7500 rpm max as well!

I had to check the tuning folder. I now get you. Been so long. If I did not see it, I wouldn't believe it.

How is she purring now?

I have some minor updates since then. If you still have your cable, I can send them.

Updates are: DBW, minor AVCS and fuelling. SO slightly greater savings.

Very tempted by this christmas special, though I would prefer not to pay $200 for a Tactrix cable for a $300 tune. :x (even though this is a special deal)
Any kind Sydney-siders want to lend me their cable in exchange for some beer??

Edward, I have an MY06 3.0R-B 6MT (ADM wagon) and am just after a bit more punch down low, as well as a Drive-By-Wire adjustment, as this currently annoys the hell out of me with its hesitation at mid to low revs. It really makes driving either smooth or aggressively a pain sometimes (unless its a sign my sparkplugs are on the way out...).

Anyway would this $300 special include a Drive-By-Wire adjustment?

Many thanks,
starship3o3

hey guys,
if any of you folks in Sydney are going to do a tune and start logging, you mind if i tag along with you and log/tune my car at the same time as well, i'd really like to tune my car but dont even know where to start or where to plug the scanner tool upto.

i also would like to get rid of the DBW delay, get better fuel economy and performance at the same time, also wondering is it possible to have the ACVS kick in a little earlier?

cheers
Bayram.

Well my first post stated DBW :)

Honestly, $200 is nothing when you feel the difference. Some people pay for DBW electronic device and still have issues on gas. Well if you get it done, you will notice the $200 means nothing.

The dbw is not the issue, but massive pinging and fluctuation of ignition causes the hesitation. See graph for explanation.

Please review other tunes to see what I mean. Check the stock performance:- http://www.xtremeracingtuning.com/forum ... m.php?f=40

Why do you think you need AVCS in early?

Also in this tune I am not going to be doing a lot. If you are looking for serious performance, then you will need the full tune as everyone here:- http://www.xtremeracingtuning.com/forum ... m.php?f=40

Well as the first post stated :) viewtopic.php?f=16&t=14432#p193421 you will need to obtain a cable or link up with someone who has one. Once that is done and you have a laptop, we can start from there.

PM Sent of payment details. Either Western Union or Bank Transfer.

Well everyone the Xmas special Tuning is going ok and tuning is finishing up quick.

Again, if you are wanting a quick tune, this is the Tuning to be had. Yes the Cable is a little expensive, but you can always resell it.

I had mine done last January (a full tune) and Edward just gave me an update of a later version incorporating some changes he has made since my car was done and he did it for free. The power delivery at part throttle is smoother, it doesn't come on so sudden now.
